Stop mosquito bites before they happen with professional mosquito control from Custom Pest Solutions.
There are over 3,500 different species of mosquitoes known to man. Unlike other insects, mosquitos are more than just a nuisance. With one bite these blood-sucking pests can spread deadly diseases like Encephalitis Virus, West Nile Virus, Zika and Lyme disease throughout livestock and humans.
Monthly mosquito treatments
The best way to treat your property for mosquito infestations is by blanketing the entire area with our effective micro-encapsulated mosquito barrier treatments that are designed to eliminate adult mosquitoes and stop them from breeding. This treatment is also effective on ticks and other biting insects.
Our experienced technicians will focus on areas where mosquitoes like to rest and breed, including trees, shrubs, gutters, eaves, overhangs, and patios. Standing water can be a hot bed for mosquitoes, and our technicians know to address these areas, as well. We talk with homeowners to ensure the safety of pets while exterminating mosquito larvae.
In2Care mosquito traps
During the breeding months of February to November, our technicians will deploy In2Care mosquito traps.
These traps trap and kill adult mosquitoes, as well as halt breeding. For optimum effectiveness, we recommend a three-trap minimum for every 5,000 square feet of infested property. When we treat the In2Care traps each month, it requires full access to your property for a short period. While our technicians will look out for your pets, it's best if you can shut them safely inside.
Special Event Treatments
We also offer one-time treatments for effective mosquito control for outdoor events, such as weddings, birthday parties, graduations, cookouts, and more. We eliminate or greatly reduce the number of mosquitoes that might otherwise bite guests or hover around food. Call us when you plan your event to schedule your treatment 24-32 hours prior to your guests’ arrivals. We’ll lay down a barrier spray that includes extra protection against biting and stinging insects that leaves no odor or visible residue. It’s exactly what you need for a perfect party!
How frequently do you need to treat for mosquitoes?
This depends on the season. During the winter few treatments are needed because mosquitoes are not active in the cold. However in Central Florida regular treatments are needed during the spring and summer since the weather conditions are perfect for mosquitoes. It is also a good idea to continue treatments into the fall when the weather remains warm.
How do I get rid of mosquitoes?
Getting rid of mosquitoes is two-fold: you must treat the adult mosquitos and also prevent eggs from hatching. Our technicians will first inspect the property to look for conditions conducive to mosquito breeding and determine the type of mosquitoes that are present. They will then note ways to correct problems and eliminate opportunities for mosquitos to lay eggs. Next, we will create a barrier by treating the area to repel mosquitos and breeding areas will be treated to kill off mosquito eggs and larvae.
What are In2Care mosquito traps and how do they work?
In2Care traps prevent mosquito populations from reproducing. The traps attract female mosquitoes. When they exit the traps, they carry the bioactives with them. The infection that the females have taken with them will follow into their larvae. The larvae die soon after infection, and the infected adults die within a few days of infection.
